Hi, I’m Phil Russell, your local LEAP driving school instructor in Leicester.
I currently cover the following areas of Leicester: Great Glen, Burton Overy, Kibworth, Fleckney, Oadby, Wigston, South Wigston, Aylestone, Glen Parva, Countesthorpe, Blaby, Stoneygate, Evington, Thurnby, Scraptoft, Humberstone, Netherhall, Hamilton & some surrounding areas.
I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) & I am proud to say that I currently hold a GRADE A certificate for driver coaching & I am fully DBS (CRB) checked.
I am passionate about road safety and I actively promote ‘Safe Driving For Life’.
After having various successful customer service & retail management roles, I decided to become a Driving Instructor in 2009. I love the fact that every new driver brings me a brand new challenge. Every new driver I meet is different from the next – so my days are always full of variety. The satisfaction I get from coaching somebody a new life-long skill is like no other & to be part of their success & to see them succeed and ultimately pass their driving test is just a FANTASTIC feeling!
I have always loved driving and I want to give all of my drivers the opportunity to gain in confidence, have independence & ultimately, change their lives forever.
I am a firm believer in having fun at work, so I like to make my lessons as enjoyable and productive as possible with some laughs along the way!
I have always been told that I am a ‘calming influence’ and I always aim to conduct my driving lessons in a relaxed and friendly manner so that each and every one of my drivers feels at ease right from the start and absolutely knows that they can ask me any questions without fear of ridicule, sarcasm or prejudice. Even the most nervous of drivers will leave their 1st lesson feeling positive.
There are still so many horror stories out there about driving instructors and how they conduct themselves! I hear them too…. sadly.
You can be totally assured that I will never-ever shout at you or make you feel useless! You are more than capable of achieving your goal. It is vital that I allow you to learn at a pace that best suits you and your ability, but I will always encourage you and develop your skills each time you drive.
